Novel lateral support system increases stability and reduces angular error in total hip arthroplasty: A case control study

Background/Aim: Intraoperative changes in patient position or other that would disrupt the decisive during preoperative preparation directly have a negative impact on acetabular cup orientation patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty. This study aimed to compare standard support system and novel lateral (Maltepe), which ensures stable decubitus positioning perioperative period, arthroplasty with posterolateral approach. Methods: Patients operated our department for osteoarthritis of between 2012 - 2019 were included this case-control retrospectively. 46 41 prepared surgery using classical (Group 1) 2) systems, respectively.
